Western Sydney Wanderers

Andrew Redmayne – 6.5: Made some fantastic saves, but could not do much more than he did to stop Adelaide.

Scott Neville – 7: Scored the lone goal for the Wanderers but was very poor in defence for large portions of the match.

Alberto – 5.5: Was weak in defence as too many mistakes and misplaced passes eventually caught up to the Spaniard.

Nikolai Topor-Stanley – 6: Received a yellow and caused numerous fouls, but was easily the strongest of the Wanderers back line.

Scott Jamieson – 4.5: With a yellow and several misplaced passes to his name, Jamieson was one of the weakest players on the pitch until his 85th-minute substitution.

Andreu – 5.5: Got a yellow card for his efforts and failed to do anything of note with the ball during the match.

Dimas – 5: Let his anger get the best of him and it clearly affected his player, also picking up a yellow for a fiery challenge late in the game.

Mitch Nichols – 4: Made too many mistakes to warrant him staying on the field and although there was the occasional bright spark, it could be argued that he came off too late in just the 55th minute.

Romeo Castelen – 6.5: Had a weak first half but improved massively in the second, providing the strength of Western Sydney’s attack.

Brendan Santalab – 6.5: Picking up a great assist with his smart backheel, Santalab looked a threat for the whole match but never truly got firing.

Mark Bridge – 6: Made some good runs and crosses, but they were too far and few between in order to help Western Sydney make an impact.

Substitutes

Dario Vidosic – 6.5: Gave Western Sydney a second life with his substitution on, making several key off the ball moves to help Wanderers split United open in the second half.

Kearyn Baccus – 5.5: Failed to do much after being subbed on, with the notable exception of making a crucial mistake that led to Adelaide’s third and deciding goal.

Shannon Cole – 5.5: Failed to do much after coming on, mostly due to how late he was brought on.
