Melbourne City have announced Bruno Fornaroli will captain the side for the 2016-17 A-League season.
The 29-year-old Uruguayan striker scored 25 goals last season to break the record for most goals scored in a season.

City’s all-time top goalscorer has been rewarded for his outstanding form with the ultimate responsibility of leading the team this season.
Steph Cately, 22, was announced as the captain of the W-League outfit, having played 13 matches last season and helped clinch both the premiership and championship double.
The A-League season for City kicks off away to Wellington Phoenix on October 8, while the club’s W-League side face the Newcastle Jets at home on November 6.
