CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky believes Champions League opponents Tottenham are currently one of the best teams in world football.
Tottenham will be hoping to get their campaign back on track when they travel to Russia, having lost their opening game to AS Monaco at Wembley.
Slutsky remained adamant that his players must be wary of the threat possessed by their English opponents.
“Tottenham are one of the best sides in England, which automatically makes them one of the best in the world,” Slutsky told reporters at his prematch press conference.

“We can talk about Son (Heung-min), (Vincent) Janssen, (Christian) Eriksen, (Erik) Lamela – all these players are pretty dangerous.
“The question is not how are we going to defend against them at set-pieces, but how we are going defend against their attacking potential overall.
And Slutsky believes his side’s opponents have had to change the way they play due to the respect they command from opposition teams.
“Last year, Spurs had an amazing team and tried to win the (Premier League) title. This season, they play a little different because many teams sit back against them.”
The match will kick off at 4:45am AEST on Wednesday morning.
