The gang had the pleasure of speaking to Hume City FC captain Nick Hegarty on the Daily Football Show.
On the back of Fairfax’s report this morning, Hegarty spoke to the gang at length about the possibility of the club signing David Trezeguet, Ronaldinho or Arda Turan for a one-off match against Melbourne Victory in the FFA Cup.
The English-born midfielder said he was excited about the prospect of a world-class attacker joining the club, albeit temporarily, and a sell-out fixture against the A-League champions at AAMI Park on October 28.
While the news has drawn a mixed reaction from Australian football fans, it would be a massive coup for the semi-professional club.
