Four wingers did not work for Palace
The wasteful start for Palace was mainly down to a lack of cohesion in midfield as they looked to move forward. How much this could be put down to not starting with a recognised striker remains to be seen and was something that Pardew tried to fix at half time, bringing on Fraizer Campbell who was returning from injury. Campbell came on at half time for Zaha who once again had a frustrating outing where, apart from a couple of good uses of his speed, was one of the more wasteful midfielders.
Tottenham face a tough home game against Manchester City next weekend while Palace have an away trip to Watford.
