Outside90’s Joshua Scarcella casts an eye over the five best individual performances to come from the weekend’s Serie A action.
Danilo D’Ambrosio (Inter Milan vs Bologna)
The sometimes out of favour full-back does not have starting XI security with Roberto Mancini’s ever-changing formations, however when selected, proves just why he is one of the best players at the club.
His crucial defensive efforts were important as well as in the build-up to Inter’s second goal in three minutes when he found free space, looping the ball over the ball watching defence.

Riccardo Gagliolo (Carpi vs Frosinone)
It is not often we see players from Carpi make the top five, but Gagliolo deserves the accolade this week.
The centre-back is a vital part of the Carpi setup, playing in all but six of their matches this season and all four Coppa Italia appearances. His heroics along with partner Simone Romagnoli gave the home side enough security to take all three points and give the club a very good chance to escape the drop zone.

Bruno Fernandes (Udinese vs Roma)
A visit from the team on a seven-match winning streak is never an easy prospect, especially one with a firing midfield.
Fernandes has led the way in midfield for the Bianconeri, albeit in a disappointing season for the team, having regular game time during 2016. The winger gave the home side hope with five minutes to go when he ventured into the box to drive home a low cross.
The Portuguese man kept in-form Mohammed Salah busy throughout the match.

Miroslav Klose (Lazio vs Atalanta)
German legend Klose is in the twilight of his career and this tends to show in most of his performances when asked to assume a starting position. Highly pressed defensive lines work against the 37-year-old who once had the turn of foot to negate these situations.
The master of being in the right position at the right time was exactly how his first goal came about. Stefano Mauri made a fantastic run into the box, only to be collected by Marco Sportiello and falling to the feet of Klose. The second a little more fortunate. Atalanta, pressing for an equaliser, were caught on the break and Felipe Anderson cleverly won the ball in the middle of the park.

Ciro Immobile (Genoa vs Torino)
Although the team has experienced a difficult time during this season, some individual performances have been the shining lights to take away for the fans.
One of these has been the return of Immobile, as the club were in desperate need of a striker, really struggling in the position since the departure of both the 26-year-old and Alessandro Cerci in 2014.
Immobile put two goals on the board in quick succession, the first making a fantastic late run in the box, firing past Mattia Perin. The second, although being incorrectly adjudged onside, was a fantastic turn and first-time strike across goal, into the opposite top corner.
