Europe proves no burden for Spurs

Crystal Palace coach Alan Pardew said that he expected his side to be fresher heading into the clash after Tottenham’s Europa League match against Qarabag, which they won 3-1. This, however, was not the case and Tottenham started the game the stronger and, for the first 20 minutes of the game, were putting substantial pressure on the Palace defence. During that time, Harry Kane had a chance to end his goalscoring drought, but, after drifting away from Souare, headed the ball over the top.

It was not until Yannick Bolasie used his speed to get a shot off that Palace were able to get into the game. However, this was relatively short-lived as Tottenham continued their dominance. One of the players that was able to have a real impact for Spurs was Son who also played a large part in their win on Friday against Qarabag, scoring two goals. He continued to display good form in his Premier League starting debut, showing speed and determination Spurs fans will be delighted to see after his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen.
