Cursed ground for the Socceroos
During the last set of World Cup Qualifiers the Socceroos went down 2-1 to Jordan, further building the frustration that was mounting against then-coahc Holger Osiek. This time the side once again struggled in the face of the passionate home fans and a pitch that was reminiscent of Sunday League with that amount bobble, though it had just a bit more grass on it.
Ange is human, they were outplayed
For the majority of his Socceroos tenure, Postecoglu has been hailed as a deity for Australian football after his rejuvenation of the squad and Asian Cup success. Well unfortunately it turns out he is human and he can coach a bad game, the players looked overwhelmed and not in their usual rhythm. Jordan, on the other hand, played a fantastic 90 minutes and executed their strategies perfectly. It showed that while the names of the opponents may not be as familiar as we as fans are used to seeing, they should not be taken lightly.
