AFC Bournemouth

Artur Boruc – 7.5: Distribution was horrible, yet his eight saves were no doubt the key to Bournemouth’s historic win at the Bridge.

Simon Francis – 7: Had difficulty matching Pedro and Hazard for pace but was solid in the final-third, with three interceptions and nine clearances.

Steve Cook – 6.5: The looping assist which found Murray at the near-post may have made up for some lacklustre work at the back.

Charlie Daniels – 6.5: Had Pedro running at him for the 90 minutes but did enough to keep the hosts at bay, staying especially composed for the last 10 minutes.

Adam Smith – 7: Was great in the physical battle and won 60% of tackles, but his passing needed to be better to avoid the constant opposition pressure.

Andrew Surman – 7.5: His screening of the back four was another highlight of Bournemouth’s efforts. Not afraid to exhibit his physicality when needed, also making five interceptions to slow the Chelsea attack.

Dan Gosling – 7: Looked great when Bournemouth were on the counter and had a close-range chance in the 90th minute to put the game to bed.

Harry Arter -7: His liveliness in front of the Stamford Bridge environment may have surprised Chelsea, as he lead the counter-attack numerous times for the visitors and fed the ball into the final-third.

Junior Stanislas – 8: A incisive 12th minute run with the ball which saw Stanislas force two quick saves from Courtois would be the indicator of how his game would go – a thorn in the side of the champions throughout, creating three chances for teammates.

Matt Ritchie – 6.5: Passing was unusually inaccurate during this encounter as he was kept under-wraps by Chelsea’s backline.

Joshua King – 7: Tested Courtious twice and menaced inside the box, yet his substitution for Murray would prove to be Eddie Howe’s masterstroke.

Substitutes

Glenn Murray – 7: Only touched the ball a handful of times, yet his 82nd minute header was enough to send the travelling support into delirium.
