Wellington Phoenix

Glen Moss – 6: He was desperately unlucky on the own goal as he had no chance to save it. He did make other smart saves in an accomplished display from the gloveman. None of the Jets’ goals could be attributed to him.

Manny Muscat – 7: Allowed very little down his side and as ever, he did not let the Phoenix down.

Dylan Fox – 5: He would be disappointed with some of his efforts today, especially the Jets’ second goal, where Nordstrand found himself with far too much space and made the Nix pay.

Andrew Durante – 6: Scored an own goal but he had little choice but to intervene as the cross was destined for an unmarked Milos Trifunovic. Apart from that unfortunate moment was solid and dependable.

Thomas Doyle – 7: Showed great energy and enthusiasm down his side and kept pushing for the entire match in a quality display.

Albert Riera – 8: He was superb with both his passing and his shielding of the back four. He was one of the better performers in a beaten side.

Roly Bonevacia – 6: Not one of his better displays for the Nix but he was solid enough in a disciplined effort from his side.

Matthew Ridenton – 7: One of his better games for the Nix. He worked his proverbial socks off and was always available to initiate attacks for Ernie Merrick’s men.

Blake Powell – 6: Failed to get his four goals this week but did provide an assist for the second goal in another decent game.

Michael McGlinchey – 7: Buzzed around the park and created mischief like he does every week. He has been a star man for the Nix ever since he returned home from the Mariners.

Hamish Watson – 7: Was the main man for Wellington today with two well taken strikes in a ruthless display in front of goal. Ruined his game with a needless red card for two bookable offences in what otherwise would have been a higher rated display.

Substitutes

Kwabena Appiah-Kubi – N/A: Not on long enough to make any difference.

Louis Fenton – 7: Had a shot well saved by Birighitti and was good value and made a real impact off the bench.

Ben Sigmund – 6: Received a few minutes near the end that will be invaluable as he rebuilds his match fitness.
