Newcastle Jets

Mark Birighitti – 8: Was forced into making a number of quality saves in the second half to keep Adelaide scoreless.

Lee Ki-Je – 6.5: The Jets looked the best when they attacked down the left hand side through himself and Carney. His defensive shape was good and his passing game out of the back was sound.

Nigel Boogaard- 7.5: Made a number of recovering tackles and was very good at the back. Held shape well and kept his team in the game.

Lachlan Jackson – 7: Has been solid at the back and has kept Djite very quiet. Made an error in the 80th minute when he slightly overplayed it which almost cost his side but other than that was very good.

Jason Hoffman – 5: Defensively he was okay but Goodwin did get the better of him on a number of occasions in the second 45 minutes. Failed to get forward and support the attack.

Mateo Poljak – 6: Was able to stop the flow of the Adelaide attack when they were breaking, overall a solid performance.

Cameron Watson – 6: Worked very hard throughout the 90 minutes and made good decisions on the ball to keep possession.

Ben Kantarovski – 5: Playing in the attacking midfield position he looked a bit lost and failed to have any real impact on the game. Was a bit wasteful with his passing and his first touch was lacking at times.

David Carney – 7: Was the best playing going forward for the Jets as the rest of the team looked a bit flat.

Enver Alivodic – 4: Was very quiet and failed to have any influence on the game.

Milos Trifunovic – 4.5: Lacked service at times but failed to hold the ball up or have any real influence on the game.

Substitutions

Ryan Kitto – N/A: Replaced Boogaard when he went off with an injury and did not have enough time to have an influence on the game.

Braedyn Crowley – N/A: Did not have enough time to influence the game.
