Few clubs will have entered the summer transfer window with a war chest that can compare to Manchester United.

Following reports that Manchester United are in talks to sign Juventus’ Paul Pogba, the gang at oulala.com took a look at how the €100 million rated French star ranked alongside every other midfielder in the top five European leagues last season – to discover whether he really is worth the monster price-tag.

The stats behind the 23-year-old’s 2015-16 show that the Red Devils may want to think twice before making a world record-breaking deal. Never afraid to try his luck, a total of 124 saw Pogba ranked first for attempted shots, but with just an eight goal return – he finished the league’s scoring charts in 25th spot.
There were few other areas where he stole the spotlight, sitting sixth in terms of assists and seventh for successful take-ons, then dropping to the disappointing regions of 86th for key passes.
