Jermain Defoe must not be sold
The Sunderland striker has come under fire for some below-par displays and has even been linked with a January move away from the Stadium of Light.
However, they must hold on to the 33-year-old at all costs. Defoe may no longer be in his prime, but he is a proven goal scorer and has already contributed the equal most goals for his side, now standing at four. Sunderland need all the fire power they can get, if they want to improve their dismal season and avoid the drop.

Connor Wickham needs to do more
The young striker has endured a frustrating start to his Palace career following a summer switch from Sunderland. However, the 22-year-old was handed a rare chance to impress against his former club – only his third start of the season.
But Wickham failed to grasp his opportunity and was anonymous for most of the game, unable to test the goalkeeper with three shots on goal while also only completing half of his attempted passes. He was replaced by Marouane Chamakh for the final stages.
