Hugo Lloris helped keep Tottenham’s Premier League unbeaten streak alive with an amazing second-half save to deny Eden Hazard, in a London derby against Chelsea that ended 0-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

The Belgian playmaker hit the ball low and hard on the volley towards Lloris’ left-hand corner in the 67th minute, but the reflexes of the Hotspur custodian were equal to the task.

During the early stages Harry Kane was again dangerous for the home side, with shots on target that were saved by Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who needed several good saves to keepTottenham at bay. Hazard and Pedro provided the Blues with their best chances, but Hazard headed over the bar and Pedro was dealt with well by the home defence. Willian also put in a good cross that was headed on target by step-in captain Branislav Ivanovic, although was correctly ruled offside by the assistant referee.

The second-half produced even less chances on goal for both teams. Willian had a free-kick early on for Chelsea, which was just out of reach for Kurt Zouma and straight into the arms of  Lloris. On the other hand, the latter stages were very scrappy, with foul after foul and the game lacking any real flow. While the home side had most of the chances in the first-half, Jose Mourinho’s men dominated the opposite box after the restart, but with nothing to show from it.

Tottenham remain unbeaten since the first day of the Premier League, a run that now spans 13 games.
