Chelsea miss an in form striker

The Blues did not get into the opposition box very often in the first-half, but when they did it was through small touches which were ultimately quashed by the Tottenham defence, or the shots were from further away. Hazard had a very good chance after a beautiful cross from Oscar was swung in towards the head of the Belgian, though he was unable to keep the header down and it sailed over the bar. This was a chance one would have thought that Diego Costa would have netted. At the back Hazard was also defending very well though, which will please his manager.

While Chelsea did look dangerous at points, they missed someone who could really capitalise for them. Pedro had a close chance, but in the end it was a poor shot and was easy to deal with. Costa never came off the bench for the visitors.
