Real Madrid kept its winning momentum with a 2-0 victory against Malmo in the Champions League at the Swedbank Stadion on Wednesday night.

Another match and another victory for the Spanish heavyweights, as they overcame the Swedish hosts with little opposition.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring for the visitors, clipping Isco’s pinpoint pass into the back of the net. It was most definitely the Los Galacticos’ to lose, yet another Ronaldo strike late in the second-half ensured they travelled back to Madrid with the three points in tow.

Real sit atop the Group A leaderboard, with French side Paris Saint Germain trailing by a point in second place.

The elusive 500 – BROKEN

Yes that is correct, the big 500 was finally surpassed by the 30-year-old Portuguese star.

Hardly surprising.

A brace against the Swedish minnows brings his career goal count to an amazing 501 and he is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Ronaldo’s second strike also brought him level with Madrid legend Raul’s record, both siting on 323 goals, yet the Portuguese has scored his in only 308 games for the club.
