The man can do no wrong!
He is improving match-by-match and it is not hard to see that his skill and confidence are growing. The midfielder somehow always manages to wrangle his way to his favourite deep position on the ground, which is where he sits back and adopts a somewhat playmaking role.
What was surprising last night was his combination with Arbeloa and Casemiro. The trio worked their magic and simply watched their brilliance unfold. The Spaniard in particular has a knack for picking out players in and around the box, a talent shared by Italian midfielder Andrea Pirlo. Up and coming through the ranks? There can be no doubt about it.
