Ivan Franjic (Melbourne City)

Coming in at number three on the list is Socceroos defender Ivan Franjic. With over 100 appearances in the Hyundai A-League, Franjic brings to Melbourne City experience and immense talent. With three A-League championships to his name, Franjic transferred to Russian Premier League side Torpedo Moscow in August 2014 where he looked to build on his A-League success in one of Europe’s top leagues.

The spell proved to be unsuccessful for Franjic, as the Socceroo left the club due to unpaid wages with only four appearances under his belt. An integral member of Ange Postecoglou’s Socceroos squad, Franjic will be looking to cement his place in Jon van’t Schip’s side as the Melbourne club looks to qualify for the A-League finals for the second consecutive year.
