- Ivan Franjic (Torpedo Moscow to Melbourne City)
It had to be a Socceroo that tops the list. Leaving Brisbane Roar to sign with Torpedo Moscow after a stellar World Cup campaign did not go quite to plan. After his stint in Russia, 28-year-old Franjic admitted he found it very mentally and physically challenging. The full-back only played four games last season and is now back in his hometown, Melbourne. Still regularly playing for the Socceroos, this was a golden snare by Melbourne City. They have signed a player with vast experience in international football who has experienced premiership success in the A-League – it seems Melbourne City should be vying for a place in the top four.
