Someone of his experience and calibre could not be ignored, though his career may only last two more seasons, the 39-year-olds credentials are impeccable. Sorensen was in the EPL from 1998 to 2015. Just over 100 caps for Denmark, representing the Danish in the 2002 and 2010 world cups as well as in the Euro in 2004. The Danish shot-stopper is now the third foreigner signed by Melbourne City in the offseason behind Uruguayan Bruno Fornaroli and Northern Irish Aaron Hughes, Sorensen will be expected to be first choice goalkeeper for City in the 2015-16 season behind Tando Velaphi.
