Young age did not seem to stop Jason Geria’s detractors, who appeared to be many.
That was before last season, anyway.
Geria starred in the right-back role for Victory last season and has made the spot his own having kept a number of the league’s biggest stars under wraps, treating fans to memories of departed full-back Adama Traore.
The athletic Geria won 55% of all duels last season and, at just 22 years of age, a sparkling future appears ahead of him, having already made 20 appearances for Australia at under-20 level and five for Olyroos.
