Napoli beat another big-name rival with a dominant display in a 4-0 win over AC Milan on Sunday.

Lorenzo Insigne again dominated this game for the 60 minutes he was on the field. Insult was added to injury as Milan conceded an own goal as the fourth. Siniša Mihajlović’s men could not match the level of Maurizio Sarri’s team in the big win for Napoli.

Milan were off the pace and never looked like matching the Neapolitans, who looked fresh and up for this game even after playing in the Europa League during the week. The win for Napoli brings them back up to sixth spot while AC Milan are now back in 11th.

Napoli love to turn it on against the big names

Beating AC Milan makes it three big-name scalps for Napoli, beating Juventus and Lazio already prior to this match. Yet outside of these three games, Napoli have not beaten any other teams in the league, even newly promoted teams. Napoli’s form, however, has come in the last four games, which is when these matchups have occurred.

Insigne still on fire

He is still the man for Napoli, single-handily dismantling the Milan defence. Insigne played the perfect ball to set up Allan for the first goal before threading the needle on both his next two with quality finishes, firstly across the keeper and then from a free kick. The nerves increased again for the Neapolitans as Insigne looked to have gone down injured after his first goal. However, he was able to run it off and return to the play.
