PSG

Kevin Trapp – 7.5: Did not have to make many spectacular saves, but when needed the goalkeeper was brilliant. Denied Ronaldo twice and made a good stop against Rodriguez.

Serge Aurier – 8: Probably PSG’s best player on the night, was a constant threat marauding up his flank and was also solid defensively.

Thiago Silva – 7: Had a good chance early but his header was off-target. Had to be good due to the loss of David Luiz before the game and was, cutting out a number of threatening attacks.

Marquinhos – 7: Started due to Luiz being injured and the brazilian looked comfortable in defence. A solid game from the youngster.

Maxwell – 6.5: Not quite as marauding as his fellow fullback, but was just as good defensively, making several clearances in and around his own penalty box.

Marco Verrati – 6: The Italian was calm with possession as always but did not offer as much as usual going forward. Was replaced late in the second-half after picking up a yellow.

Thiago Motta – 6.5: Good set pieces were not capitalised on by his teammates. Performed better along with Blaise Matuidi in the second-half.

Blaise Matuidi – 7: PSG’s best midfielder, fairly absent in the first-half he utilised his strength and speed to make driving runs the more the game went on.

Angel Di Maria – 5: Started well with support from Aurier, but did not have much of an affect and was largely absent in the latter stages. Will have been disappointed not to impress against his old club.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 5.5: The Swede was not as clinical as he has been in recent times and often dropped deep to help the PSG midfield three and find opportunities to create for his two wide players Di Maria and Cavani.

Edinson Cavani – 5.5: Had a couple of half chances blocked, but other than that never really threatened and was replaced for the final 20 minutes.

Substitutes

Javier Pastore N/A – In good form but could not continue it when he came on had little affect on the game.

Lucas Moura- 6: Probably the best he has played for PSG this season, after replacing Di Maria he looked a threat with pace but ultimately was unable to convert anything into a goal. Needs to perform like this for 90 minutes.

Ezequiel Lavezzi N/A – Did not have long enough to really affect the game when coming on, unable put his pace to good use.
