Tottenham Hotspur have propelled themselves to top of Group J, following a hard-fought 2-1 victory at home against Anderlecht.

In a frenetic opening to the match the visitors put Tottenham under sustained pressure and if not for a wonderful Hugo Lloris save could have taken the lead.
However, it was the home team who opened the scoring through Harry Kane, who struck a fierce shot from 20 yards out into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.
In the second half the Belgian visitors probed and pushed for an equalising goal, wasting some great opportunities, but on 71 minutes they finally made the breakthrough.
After being slipped through on goal, Imoh Ezekiel scored his first ever Europa League goal with a neat strike that struck the inside of the right-hand post and squirmed over the line.
When it looked like Tottenham were destined for a draw, Moussa Dembele then struck an outrageous curling shot on the half volley from 25 yards to secure a plucky win for the home side.
Here’s some of the best reaction from Twitter:
Defending like that won’t get you back in the team, Ben Davies. Poor from the Welshman not tracking Ezekiel run #THFC

An unusually loose ball from Lamela there ? His ball retention is fucking woeful. #THFC #Spurs

Not for the first time we are FAR too relaxed, plodding, sloppy and slow when 1 up. Very frustrating. #THFC
