Cesc Fabregas stole the EFL Cup spotlight with an extra time brace to see Chelsea past Leicester City earlier this morning.
The playmaker completed a memorable comeback for the Blues after the Premier League champions went 2-0 up through Shinji Okazaki.
After goals from Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta leveled the contest, a red card for Marcin Wasilewski allowed Antonio Conte’s side to take control – with Fabregas then putting two picturesque finishes into the net early in added time.
However, the Spaniard’s performance could throw up a selection dilemma for Antonio Conte ahead of this weekend’s London derby with Arsenal, with an outcry for his inclusion in the starting XI now coming from Chelsea fans over social media.
@ChelseaFC Let conte know fabregas needs to start, thanks.

What I hope #conte realizes: #Fabregas should start every game and what a great captain he could be. @cesc4official #cfc #ChelseaFC

Fabregas scored twice last night. Now that’s 99+2 more reasons why he should start every game. #CFC #FabregasIsMagic

At this point I think Fabregas has to start. Matic or Oscar dropped, depending on where Fab plays.

Fabregas is a game changer. No doubt about it. Start that man against Arsenal; he’ll thrive on it.

If Fabregas doesn’t start at the weekend it gives off the wrong message to the rest of the team. He’s earned his place, others haven’t

If Fabregas ain’t done enough to earn a start on Saturday then what is football

Whenever Fabregas plays he completely dominates the game. He simply must start every game from now on. #CFC
