Middlesbrough have announced the signing of goalkeeper Victor Valdes, in a major coup for the newly promoted club. The Spaniard has suffered quite the fall from grace since leaving Barcelona, after a failed stint at Manchester United saw him released at the end of the past season and subsequently loaned out to Standard Liege.

Arsenal are in the market for attacking players, and according to reports via the Sun the Londoners are preparing a £43 million bid for German breakout Julian Draxler, who only joined Wolfsburg last summer. Manager Arsene Wenger is on the lookout to add some much needed firepower upfront ahead of the new season.

As Jurgen Klopp prepares for his first full season in charge of Liverpool, the Mirror suggests the Merseysiders are preparing to allow eight players to leave this summer. Claims are the likes of Christian Benteke, Jordan Ibe and Joe Allen could all be on their way out before the 2016-17 season begins.

Preparing to allow such players to leave this summer, Klopp is sure to be on the lookout for replacements of the highest quality. The German edition of Bild is reporting the Reds are interested in bringing Borussia Dortmund’s Jakub Blaszczykowski to Anfield, in what would be a reunion between the pair.

Another BVB player may be close to a Premier League move, with central-defender Neven Subotic being linked to the likes of Sunderland and Stoke by the Daily Mail. The 27-year-old was given a day away from preseason training in order to decide on his future.

Crystal Palace are in the market for yet another new signing, with the Croydon Advertiser rumouring the Eagles have eyes for Palermo’s Franco Vazquez.  The Italian club has already rejected a bid for the playmaker, as Alan Pardew faces stiff competition from AC Milan and Sevilla to sign the attacking-midfielder.
