Manchester United have confirmed that fullback Guillermo Varela will be shipped to German club Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the upcoming season, with the possibility of a permanent move. Since joining the Red Devils in the summer of 2013, the Uruguayan has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular and only made his debut against West Ham last season.

Socceroo Brad Smith appears to be on the move from Liverpool to fellow Premier League side Bournemouth according to Sky Sports. The 22-year-old fullback has impressed manager Jurgen Klopp but is very much considered second choice behind Alberto Moreno, and the reported £6 million bid is just too good to refuse.
In more news from Anfield, the club has reportedly ended their chase of Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski. Gazetta dello Sport claims the two parties have not been able to reach an agreement over a fee, with the Italians holding out for a price of around £10 million.
Arsenal are said to be preparing a major double swoop in the transfer market, with the Mirror suggesting the Londoners want to bring Riyad Mahrez and Alexandre Lacazette to the Emirates. The Gunners would reportedly need to pay £75 million in order to sign two of the hottest talents in world football right now.
Swansea City are hoping Wilfried Bony will return to Wales this summer, if rumours in the Express are to be believed. The Swans may have a battle on their hands if they are to re-sign the 27-year-old though, with Everton also possibly keen on the striker.
West Ham United are looking to keep the two Manchester clubs away from talented youngster Reece Oxford this transfer window, with the Daily Mail reporting the Hammers have placed a £18 million price tag on the 17-year-old. German club Red Bull Leipzig have already seen a £10 million offer rejected earlier in the summer.
With rumours rife he is on the verge of joining Stoke, Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen is set to hold talks with Potters manager Mark Hughes according to the Telegraph. The Welsh international could complete his move in the next 48 hours before linking up with his new teammates in Florida on their pre-season tour.
Everton have reportedly agreed a fee with Zenit St-Petersburg for the transfer of midfielder Axel Witsel says the Daily Mail. The 27-year-old has long been linked with a move to England, and it now appears the Toffees have warded off interest from Chelsea and Inter Milan to sign the Belgium international.
