Swansea City were again denied a win as Scott Dann cancelled out Gylfi Sigurdsson’s lovely free-kick, to ensure both teams took a point from Saturday night’s clash at the Liberty Stadium.

Both team needed a positive result, as Swansea still worry about their relegation battle situation, while Alan Pardew was not happy his as team lost to Bournemouth during midweek. The Swans started better, resulting in numerous shots towards Palace’s goal and the score-line changed after 13 minutes. Sigurdsson’s beauty of a free-kick was enough to take the lead.

Yet, in Palace’s first precise shot, the result was equalized as Dann made the most of some shambolic defending after another corner. Francesco Guidolin’s team conceded from a set piece for the third match in a row, and it is a problem he will have to solve.

Swansea seemed the better team once more, but their 12 shots from inside of Palace’s box were not enough to score at least twice. The Wales-based club is still to score more than two goals in a single match this season, while Crystal Palace won only one point in their last five matches and have dropped heavily to 12th position on the Premier League table.
