Southampton

Kelvin Davis – 5.0: Looked very shaky early on when coming out for a few balls and did not do much to dramatically help his side.

Ryan Bertrand – 6.5: Not overly influential and allowed his opposition too much time out wide.

Virgil van Dijk – 7.0: Not the best defensively and was giving up space in the second-half, but did well to score his second goal at home in as many matches.

José Fonte – 7.0: Was composed to open the scoring. Looked very solid in first-half in defence but was opened up in the second period.

Cédric Soares – 7.0: Did not allow Jeffrey Schlupp much room to work with down the flank, stayed tight.

Steven Davis – 7.0: Looked comfortable going forward but left his defence a little too exposed on a few occasions.

Victor Wanyama – 6.0: Did not have much of an impression on the match.

James Ward-Prowse – 7.0: Had some good passages on the ball.

Sadio Mané – 6.5: Forced Schmeichel into a good save early on but ultimately did not get himself into as much space as he would have liked.

Dusan Tadić – 6.0: Got an assist on the first goal but was a passenger for much of the game.

Graziano Pellè – 5.5: Got through some work but did very little for his side in the end.

Substitutes

Maya Yoshida – 6.0: Looked more comfortable than in recent performances. Substituted on for Cédric in the 60th minute.

Jordy Clasie – 6.0: Brought on to see out the game and did not really do enough, but was hardly to blame for his side conceding either of the goals. Replaced Davis in the 60th minute.

Jay Rodriguez – 5.5: Failed to offer enough in attack to ease the pressure on his defence. Substituted on for Tadić in the 76th minute.
