Watford

Heurelho Gomes- 8: A stellar performance from the Brazilian. Stepping in to make multiple game changing saves, most notably against Murray from the penalty spot.

Allan Nyom- 7: Did well to contain what is usually a threatening left-side combination in Daniels and Pugh.

Sebastian Prodl- 6: Let Murray stray for Bournemouth’s goal. But looked strong at the back when play came towards him.

Craig Cathcart- 4: The Englishman was part of a centre-back pairing that ultimately failed to keep Murray contained. Made some very poor decisions on the ball, often turning over possession with long-winded punts up the field.

Nathan Ake- 5: Struggled a bit with his marking duties and threatened his place in the game with a questionable tackle early in the second-half. A forgettable performance for the young Dutch defender.

Ikechi Anya- 5: Showed buckets of enthusiasm, but often looked overwhelmed by the physicality of the Premier League. Displayed measurable talent on the ball though.

Almen Abdi- 4: Another player that displays a good foundation of skill, yet went missing for the majority of the game and struggled to link up with Ighalo and Troy Deeney in attack.

Ben Watson- 6: Played the role of the roving midfielder well-enough, though he could not manage to close down the opposition on a number of occasions. Rattled a half-volley off the crossbar in the 50th minute, inches lower and he would have given Watford the lead.

Etienne Capoue- 4: A rash tackle from Capoue led to the penalty opportunity for Bournemouth. Other than that, his most eventful period of the game was a succession of near-simulations with Murray – neither player came away from the sideshow with much integrity.

Troy Deeney- 5: A quiet day for Deeney. Having scored a hat-trick in this fixture in years gone by, Watford fans might have expected a bit more from their captain.

Odion Ighalo- 6: Had a game of drastic hot and cold periods. Watford’s most dangerous moments were often the result of Ighalo being on the ball, also pressured Boruc well and finished with composure to salvage a point for his side.

Substitutes

Juan Paredes- 5: Was not brought in under the best of circumstances and struggled to match the tempo of the game.
Adlene Guedioura- N/A: Brought on late, unable to influence proceedings too much.
