Melbourne Victory defender Daniel Georgievski says their 0-0 draw with Suwon Bluewings in the AFC Asian Champions League has allowed the team to regain confidence.
The reigning A-League champions remain undefeated in the continental competition and looking the better team last night, Victory were defensively very sharp.
Coming away from a 5-0 loss last week against the Brisbane Roar, Georgievski was proud of the way they played.
“We held the defensive line well, they were a very disciplined side and with that, we didn’t want to give them too much possession,” Georgievski said.
“It was all about us holding the defence right and it showed a clean sheet at the end they didn’t have a clear cut chance I didn’t believe.”

Kevin Muscat satisfied with hard-working Melbourne Victory
Melbourne take on the floundering Newcastle Jets at home on Sunday and need a strong finish to the domestic campaign, only just siting sixth on the A-League table.
Brisbane and Western Sydney Wanderers currently occupy the top two equal on 41 points, so the Victory is reliant on the teams in the top-half to start stuttering.
Despite how unrealistic it is for Kevin Muscat’s men to claim a top four spot, Georgievski still has faith they can do it.
“It is a big game against the Jets, we only have four games left, after the performance on Saturday everyone said what they had to say,” he said.
“After tonight, a bit of that confidence has come back and I think they’ll be good coming into Sunday’s game.
“All the games count, you can win one, relying on others to lose we’re back in the race, it’s good it’s a tight finish and we’ll see how it goes.”
