AS Roma (4-4-2)

Wojciech Szczesny – 4.5: Foiled a couple of dangerous attacks, but was often caught out of position. Was schooled by Hernandez and Kampl, he could have done better to prevent the second goal by keeping hold of it, or at least parrying the ball out of harms way.

Vasilios Torosidis – 4: His defensive contribution consisted of just two measly clearances and he conceded the fourth minute penalty, it was a horrendous performance.

Konstantinos Manolas – 6.5: The Greek’s distribution was pleasant, his two tackles, six clearances, one blocked shot and an assist indicates a strong performance despite conceding four goals.

Antonio Rudiger – 5: Moments where he was caught out, he attempted three tackles, made three clearances and his disposal of the ball was strong.

Lucas Digne – 6.5: His impressive outing was composed of six tackles, six interceptions and five crosses. The opposition caused him more grief in the second-half.

Miralem Pjanic – 8: The set piece mastermind was instrumental in his side’s resurgence, delivering the corner and free-kick that led to the De Rossi double before following it up with a stunning free-kick to make it 3-2, typical of the Bosnian.

Daniele De Rossi – 8: The holding-midfielder turned punisher, making the net bulge twice. The Italian also put a great defensive shift in with three interceptions, four clearances and one blocked shot.

Radja Nainggolan – 7: His impulsive decision of simulation in the box cost him a yellow ticket. He made amends with five tackles, three interceptions, three shots and two key passes.

Alessandro Florenzi – 4.5: His powerful strike forced a save out of Leno, and intercepted five passes, but his lack of involvement and meagre ball disposal let him down.

Mohamed Salah – 6: The Egyptian orchestrated two key passes and provided his teammates with good service, but did not make a major impact.

Gervinho – 6: The Ivory Coast international looked lively at times. He failed to see a lot of the ball, but he engineered an assist and landed one shot on target.
