How Twitter reacted to Brisbane Roar's 1-1 draw with Melbourne City

Brisbane Roar were able to salvage a point against Melbourne City earlier this evening, despite a performance to forget from goalkeeper Jamie Young.

While the first-half saw both teams find space moving into the final-third, few targets were presented and the best chance to score came from a signature Aaron Mooy free-kick that looked to go millimeters wide of the far-post. However, the undisputed highlight of the opening period was Young’s blunder when trying to distribute the ball out from the box, slipping over and nearly gifting an open net to the visitors.

It would only be a few minutes after the restart when the spotlights were again pointed at the Roar custodian, Harry Novillo capitalising on a tap-in after Young’s denial of a close-range Mooy strike. Brisbane’s attack was working strong all night though and were rewarded for some solid teamwork when Henrique equalised with 20 minutes remaining.

Much of the post-match discussion surrounded Young’s performance, however, onlookers were also unimpressed with the numerous ‘man-bun’s’ on show among the host side.
