Bayer Leverkusen drew 4-4 with AS Roma in a phenomenal Champions League Group Stage outing earlier this morning.

The hosts struck early via a Javier Hernandez penalty, with the Mexican international further doubling the advantage in the 19th minute. This would only be the beginning of the drama though, as Daniele De Rossi struck twice to take his Giallorossi side into the break back on level terms.

In the 54th minute, Miralem Pjanic propelled his side in front with a free-kick and 20 minutes later substitute Iago Falque scored to make it 4-2. It seemed all but sealed for Roma, until Kevin Kampl scored from distance and just two minutes later, substitute Admir Mehmedi equalised.

The immense match, full of twists and turns, leaves Leverkusen second in Group E, while Roma are holding up the table in last.
