Ezequiel Lavezzi – Paris Saint Germain

Another PSG star is winding up his time in the French capital. Having arrived at the same time Ibrahimovic did, the Argentine looks set to leave with him, especially now that Angel Di Maria has usurped him as the star Argentinian winger at the club. Lavezzi is 30, a fairly ripe age for most wingers, but could still provide a fizzing injection of pace and incision into any Premier League team. Observing as we have, over the past three seasons, the parade of lacklustre attackers Liverpool have brought in (Markovic, Firmino, Aspas, Balotelli, Lambert, Alberto, Borini… yes, that’s enough for a parade) they could do a far sight worse than test out Lavezzi.

More likely is that Lavezzi will head back to Italy, perhaps even to Napoli, but Liverpool would be able to offer a far more attractive salary package. He is more than capable of enduring the sort of work-heavy pressing that Klopp demands, and would dovetail nicely with both Christian Benteke or Daniel Sturridge.

Likely Destination: If not Italy, then Liverpool.
