Brisbane Roar and Newcastle Jets have played out an intriguing 2-2 draw at Suncorp Stadium on Firday night.

Brisbane Roar

Michael Theo – 6: Little he could do about the goals and had very few saves to make.

Jack Hingert – 5: Ventured forward at times but nothing of note.

Jade North – 6.5: Found himself inside the penalty area to strike across the face and force an equalising own goal of Alivodic.

James Donachie – 4.5: Let Cooper get goal-side of him and was made to pay.

Corey Brown – 2.5: Had a brain explosion in the 18th minute. Brown misjudged Leonardo’s cross and virtually fisted the ball away, conceding a blatant penalty. A booking for that mishap added insult to injury.

Corona – 5.5: Sub-par in the first half, much better after re-emerging from the sheds.

How Twitter reacted to Brisbane Roar’s entertaining draw with the Jets

Thomas Broich – 5.5: Quiet in the opening half but got more involved in the second. His night followed a similar pattern to that of his midfield partner’s.

Matt McKay – 6: Tried to make things happen in midfield with little reward.

Dimi Petratos – 4: Narrowly missed a snapshot that, to be fair, was exactly that: a snapshot. Might have buried it on another day, however.

Brandon Borello – 5: Smartly drew contact from Cowburn to win the penally that was eventually converted by Maclaren. Provided some decent width but very few killer punches.

Jamie Maclaren – 4: After his initial spot kick, Maclaren made no mistake with the follow-up. Overall, not his best match.

Substittues

Henrique – 5.5: Heavily involved after his introduction could not find the net.

Steven Lustica – 6: Saw a brilliant effort from the top of the area tipped onto the woodwork by an outstretched Birighitti.
