Payet once again shows his class
The high-profile arrival from Marseille has made a fast start to life in the Premier League, and on Monday he once again illustrated why he is one of the Hammers’ most important players, scoring twice and completely dominating the Newcastle midfield from first whistle to last. While his second goal of the night may have been rather fortunate, the opening strike on nine minutes was in the top draw category. After three goals and one assist in his first five Premier League appearances, it is clear for all to see West Ham have an outstanding player in their ranks.
