Italy’s powerhouse club will fork out a whopping €90m for the services of the Argentinean centre-forward in a bid to challenge the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona for European trophy success.
Last season’s standout player of the Serie A scored an record 36 goals, surpassing the long-standing feat of Gunnar Nordahl who held the record for 66 years.
Higuain, 28, was closely linked to Arsenal, however the lure of staying in Italy and playing for a club deemed to be primed for Champions League glory was too good to refuse.
His soon-to-be teammate, Patrice Evra, was clearly delighted by the news and decided to break out into ‘running man’ dance presumably with his two sons.
