After 15 rounds here’s an understanding of how Ladbrokes stacks up all of the eventualities that could occur as the season progresses.

Wide open title race

It’s there for the taking, who wants to step up to the plate and grab it with both hands? Manchester City and Arsenal appeared to be the frontrunners early in the piece, but the crazy nature of the Premier League has dragged a number of different teams back into title contention.

And for those who believe in fairytales, then you can get Leicester City at $26.

Manchester City, however, are slight favourites to take the crown at $2.50.

For the perennial underachievers Arsenal, they finally look to have asserted themselves as the real deal this season and sit at a healthy $3.

Despite the moans and groans from the Old Trafford faithful, Manchester United remain a relatively short-priced chance of winning the league, $5.50.

The outsiders in Liverpool ($11) and Tottenham Hotspur ($15) could even pose a realistic option, considering the vulnerability of the other teams in front of them.

Will anyone mow down Jamie Vardy?

What an incredible story this has turned out to be. Non-League footballer, rising through the ranks of English football and now suddenly the top-flight’s most emphatic striker. Jamie Vardy’s 14 goals has elevated his Foxes from relegation battlers to European believers, and it’s hard to see the 28-year-old slowing down anytime soon.

Despite a raft of injuries Sergio Augero remains a big contender, despite being seven goals off the pace. However, if anyone is capable of clawing goals back at will it’s the Argentine and you probably won’t get any higher than $4.50 during the campaign.

Everton’s Belgian brute Romelu Lukaku has bounced back from a lacklustre season to renounce himself as one of the most deadly poachers in the league with 11 goals and is the biggest threat to Vardy at $5.50.

Teammate Riyad Mahrez fresh from his hat-trick heroics against Swansea City has notched 10 goals, which is incredible for an attacking midfielder

Harry Kane ($8) and Olivier Grioud ($17) have both scored eight goals each and are surrounded by a plethora of attacking players – the latter in particular would be worth a punt at such long odds.

If you fancy a couple of outsiders then Riyad Mahrez and Odion Ighalo at $21 each represent extremely good value.

The unpredictable relegation dogfight

Aston Villa have gained only three points since the opening day of the campaign (14 games). It’s shambolic and sees them rooted to the foot of the table, seven points off safety. Relegation is well and truly on the cards, which is confirmed by their $1.20 value to endure the drop.

Aside from the Villans, there’s a number of teams who are in the relegation frame, with Newcastle, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Norwich City and Swansea all living dangerously either in or close to the drop zone.

Bournemouth are giving themselves a decent chance of beating the odds and retaining top-flight status, and that’s reflective with their $2.75 price tag. Struggling Newcastle are at $2.30, while their fierce rivals Sunderland are $1.25, which is extremely short and not worth it.

Norwich City have been an erratic outfit and $2.63 is an enticing one and even Swansea City, who recently sacked their manager Garry Monk are no certainty to avoid the drop and $4.50 is very healthy.

And for those who genuinely believe that Chelsea may do the unthinkable, well they are $101 for a reason, because it surely will not happen.

Can Chelsea edge their way back into top four calculations?

It’s been a miserable season for last season’s champions, who languish in 14th position and a whopping 14 points off fourth-placed Manchester United. No team has ever reached the top four after a start like this, however, if there’s a team who are capable then it has to be Chelsea. You can get them at a healthy $9.50

Manchester City and Arsenal both at $1.04 appear to be absolute certainties for the Champions League places, so steer clear.

Manchester United at $1.18 are surprisingly short after the type of boring football they have played throughout the season.

The value is with both Tottenham ($2.15) Liverpool ($1.80), who in all likelihood will battle it out for the final qualification spot to European’s coveted competition.

And don’t forget Leicester City who are table toppers as it stands and $5.50 to secure Champions League qualification.
