Paul Pogba is starting to look like a real leader

The Frenchman took on a heap of responsibility in preseason when he decided to wear the number 10 jersey at Juventus, a shirt previously worn by legends such as Michele Platini, Roberto Baggio and Alessandro Del Piero. Pogba did not look his usual self after the first three games of the season, finding it hard to adjust without the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal alongside him, also without Claudio Marchisio for two of those three games.

Pogba, however, came to life firstly against Manchester City midweek and then in the win against Genoa. He has been in the thick of things over the course of the past week and is playing with more maturity, working hard to retain possession and move the ball forward to dangerous positions for his strikers to capitalise. Not only has Pogba had to deal with the departures of Pirlo and Vidal, but injuries have also kept out Marchisio and Sami Khedira, leaving Pogba with even more pressure to perform.
