Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has made it clear that star man Riyad Mahrez will be staying put at the King Power Stadium.

Speaking to beINSPORTS, the Italian manager has stated that he is “100 percent sure” that the Algerian star will not be moving on elsewhere despite rumoured interest from fellow Premier League side Arsenal.

The incumbent PFA Player’s Player of the Year has no doubt attracted a lot of attention from rival clubs after guiding the Foxes to an unprecedented Premier League title last season.

Mahrez, who prior to joining then Championship side Leicester City in 2014, was plying his trade for lowly French Ligue 2 outfit Le Havre, has made a meteoric rise up the footballing ranks and is now set for a large pay day.

Reports suggest that Mahrez is currently in talks with Leicester over a new contract, rumoured to be upwards of £100k-per-week.

The re-signing of Mahrez is vital for the future aspirations of the club, who will look to defend their title this coming season, as well as make their first foray into Champions League football.
