Juventus came from behind to defeat Manchester City 2-1 in their Champions League Group Stage opener at the Etihad Stadium overnight.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side took the lead through a Giorgio Chiellini own goal in controversial circumstances, however, the Turin giants soon hit back through a sliding finish from Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic. Alvaro Morata then sent Juventus in front with a delightful curling effort from outside the box.
The Bianconeri held on to record a 2-1 victory and a decisive win away from home, in what will arguably be their toughest fixture of the group stage.
