Pep Guardiola’s arrival at Manchester City continues to take effect, as the Spaniard has already targeted Nolito for the 2016-17 season, even though the player is yet to sign any deal. Currently, the Celta Vigo player and Spain forward is still performing his international duties at Euro 2016 in the titleholder’s starting line-up. Latest soccer lines report that his club is ready to terminate his contract for £13.8 million.

The interest of Pep Guardiola to sign the Celta Vigo player starts from the fact that he previously coached Nolito in Barcelona. Even though Guardiola offered the player his debut in the first team, Nolito largely played in Barcelona’s team ‘B’ before leaving to join Benfica. With a £13.8 million release clause, Nolito could join his former manager at the Etihad Stadium next season.

Before his focus turned on the Spanish Striker, City’s coach had previously completed the signing of Borussia Dortmund’s player, Ilkay Gundogan, with the Spaniard still targeting Leroy Sane, the 20-year-old from Schalke. To prove that the Manchester City boss has enough money in his coffers, after completing the signing of the Celta Vigo striker for the apparent 13.8million move, he will follow it up with a £30 million offer for Leroy Sane’s move from Schalke. Nolito normally plays using his right foot and is fond of cutting in with the ball from the left side, whereas Sane is a player that can execute his outstanding moves from everyplace across the front line.

However, the new manager at Schalke, Markus Weinzierl has declared that he will make sure the youngster stays with the German club. With the intention of bracing themselves for more offers, Schalke have similarly started making comprehensive enquiries about Breel Embolo, the Basel and Swiss international forward. According to Schalke, even with his narrow experience, Sane is valued at £40m, perhaps because Barcelona and Bayern Munich have also showed their interest in the player. In the meantime, Manchester City have started their negotiations for the 20-year-old Brazilian on a possible loan transfer to the Etihad Stadium.

As soon as the Euro 2016 curtains close, the Spaniard Nolito could join the revolution of Pep Guardiola on a three-year contract as soon. Many reliable sources have already exposed that the Manchester City manager instructed Txiki Begiristain, the club’s director of football, to follow up on the Celta Vigo forward immediately and close the deal. This swift decision came once he received news about Barcelona having some interest in his prey.

As news about his transfer looms, Nolito featured in the Euro 2016 starting line-up for Spain on Tuesday for their final group game against Croatia. He started the match with a five-goal record, along with four assists in a dozen games for Spain. Guardiola must be having plans to play him with the starting line-up to form a trio with his corresponding Spaniard David Silva and Argentina forward Sergio Aguero. Nolito can also play through the midfield, making his a very valuable player at such a reduced value. During the short transfer window in January, Barcelona got very close to signing the player, but failed to raise the required payment at the time.
