Outside90’s Joshua Scarcella casts an eye over the five best individual performances to come from the weekend’s Serie A action.
Alessandro Florenzi (Roma vs Genoa)
Alessandro Florenzi has taken the right-back position for his own this season, with the ability to make blistering runs forward on a regular basis to provide support to his strikers. His influence has been subdued in recent showings due to Roma’s poor form, however, this week he sparked them back into action with an emphatic goal just before halftime.
His defensive efforts were just as exemplary, keeping Diego Capel and Diego Laxalt out on multiple occasions.

Giacomo Bonaventura (Frosinone vs AC Milan)
With his key men around him, Giacomo Bonaventura was back to his best and it enabled Milan to put on a much more expected display.
A smart flick onto an awaiting Carlos Bacca gave the visitors the lead in the second-half and a fantastic diagonal run into the box in the last minute saw Bonaventura record his own goal to secure the three points for the Rossoneri.
The Italian international will be on Antonio Conte’s radar for the upcoming European Cup if his form continues in the new year.
