Leonardo Blanchard (Frosinone vs Genoa)

A case could be argued that Blanchard was the top performer of the week, if their were such an award. The centre-back not only did what he could to keep the Genoa front men from causing trouble, he also turned himself into a makeshift goal scorer with a spectacular bicycle kick while lying in the penalty area. In addition to this, he provided the assist for his fellow defender’s poached goal, giving the home side the advantage.

Blanchard now has the second most goals for his club and some brilliant performances to back those up.

Darko Lazovic (Frosinone vs Genoa)

The Serbian was equally as impressive to his Frosinone counterpart, but without the same spotlight. The young midfielder has not featured in the starting lineup to often this season, yet has now definitely caught the attention of his manager, Gian Piero Gasperini.

Lazovic set up both Genoa goals with blistering runs down the right-side of the pitch, wrong-footing defenders along the way and providing tap-in goals for his strikers to finish.
