FFA Cup late show specialists Hume City floor Marconi Stallions

The 2015 semi finalists Hume City hosted a fallen great in Marconi Stallions at ABD Stadium, prevailing 4-3 on penalties after the match had ended 1-1 after 120 minutes.

Marconi striker Mirjan Pavlovic’s goal in the sixth minute of extra time was followed by a dramatic Kym Harris equaliser in the 117th minute, with the hosts coming out on top in the shootout.

Hume had the better of territory and chances throughout the 90 minutes, and Marconi’s counter attacking approach was enough to earn them a draw and take the game into extra time.

Pavlovic’s excellently taken goal stunned the home crowd, but the final whistle nearing ever closer, Harris struck back late in true Hume fashion.

Marconi goalscorer, Pavlovic, miscued his penalty to start the shootout and Hume never looked back with Shane Rexhepi converting from the spot to send Hume through in dramatic circumstances.
