Everton are close to securing a club record £35 million deal to sign FC Porto forward Yacine Brahimi, according to the Guardian.

The Algerian will reportedly sign for the Toffees on deadline day with a medical due to be completed.

Everton have already added Yannick Bolasie to their attacking stocks for £25 million from Crystal Palace, but new manager Ronald Koeman is still believed to be after more forwards, with Brahimi the number one target.

Brahimi is versatile across the front line, able to play on both wings as well as through the middle.

It is believed the Portuguese club has yet to accept the initial deal, but it is expected that the transfer will go through as planned sooner rather than later.

The 26-year-old forward scored seven goals in 33 games last season at Porto, and has an equivalent scoring record in his season prior with the Portuguese giants.

Brahimi has scored seven goals in 28 games for Algeria, including one at the 2014 World Cup.

He played for Rennes and Granada before moving to Portugal.
