The Baggies will feel as though they were on the wrong side of the whistle

Despite being awarded a late penalty for Kante’s challenge on McManaman, the Baggies will feel as though they were without the luck they may have needed to at least get a point from the contest.

Mahrez’s goal, which put the visitors 2-1 up just inside the hour mark, looked to be scored from an offside position upon viewing the replay.

Tony Pulis also pointed to two penalty claims by his team that were waved away by referee Anthony Taylor.

“We are disappointed with the penalty decisions,”

“Everyone in the crowd would have said Fletcher’s was a penalty. With Jonny Evans the referee is only two yards away and he gets pulled back. You have to do well to miss it. Why he has not given those two I don’t know.”

“I will speak to Mike Riley. At this level the referee should be getting those decisions correct. They say for the second goal the lad is offside. We have a linesman over the far side who can see it clearly and can see it across the line. Decisions which could have helped us didn’t go with us.”

On another day, the Baggies may have had any of the decisions mentioned go their way, which would have helped their cause in getting a result.

Despite this, Pulis was full of praise for the Foxes, Vardy in particular, and it must be noted that despite their apparent luck, The Foxes were fully deserving of yet another win on the road.
