Jack Cork would not look out of place in the England midfield
It has taken some time, but Jack Cork finally looks to have found his niche in Swansea’s midfield after stints at Southampton and various other clubs on loan. The ex-Chelsea and Southampton starlet looks the part alongside Jonjo Shelvey in a defensive-midfield pairing which could quite easily do the job at international level for the Three Lions.
Unlike Shelvey, Cork is yet to be capped at senior level for England despite making appearances for a host of the nation’s junior and development squads.
That seems something of an injustice, especially given Cork’s season stats thus far. He boasts a pass completion rate of 88% and comes out on top in duels 65% of the time.
