A late equaliser by Jamie Vardy ensured that honours were shared between Stoke City and Leicester City last night at the Britannia Stadium.

The Potters were seemingly in control of the contest, going two goals up within the opening 20 minutes of the game.

The game saw the welcome return of Bojan Krkic to the Stoke starting lineup, the first time he has done so this season. It took Bojan only 13 minutes to net the opener, latching onto a fantastic Marko Arnautovic pass.

Only seven minutes later, the Potters were gifted a second when Wes Morgan’s underhit back pass failed to reach ‘keeper Kasper Schmeichel, with Jonathan Walters alert to the opportunity.

The Foxes will consider themselves lucky that they were still in the contest after Walters failed to get a touch on Geoff Cameron’s cross in the 28th minute after looking almost certain to score his side’s third.

In what was a complete turnaround in the second half, Leicester pulled one back after Arnautovic clumsily brought down Danny Drinkwater in the box, allowing Riyad Mahrez to coolly slot home from the penalty spot – his fifth goal of the campaign.

Leicester drew level on 69 minutes when Vardy used his pace to get in behind the Potters’ defence to collect Mahrez’s flick-on to slot the ball past Jack Butland, leaving a very nervous final 20 minutes for the home side.

Neither side were able to find the winner, meaning the Foxes remain unbeaten in the League, sitting in third, while Stoke, conversely, are still to register their first victory.
